| Introducing Capture the Coast
| Fourth in a series from The Junior League of Tampa Culinary Collection, Capture the Coast takes readers on a culinary and pictorial journey of life on Florida's West Coast. Distinctive traditions from our rich, cultural heritage combine with fresh ingredients from our local farms and waterways to create the perfect recipe for casually elegant, al fresco entertaining. Join us as we set a table by the water and discover new ways to capture the essence of coastal dining. |
Here’s what a few Tampa restaurateurs have to say about Capture the Coast: “Almost every week, in both our catering and restaurant, I use some recipe from the many Junior League cookbooks. I can’t wait for the newest, Capture the Coast, to add to my collection. I love and use them all.” - Kim Bailey, Owner of Bailey’s Restaurant and Catering “The Columbia is proud to be part of The Junior League of Tampa’s collection of cookbooks since 1961, helping residents and visitors to the Bay Area discover the unique flavors that make Tampa a special place to savor a local taste of Florida. We feel especially proud to be able to share the recipe for our Original “1905” Salad™, named as one of ‘America’s Top 10 Best Salads to Make a Meal Out Of’ by USA Today.” - Richard Gonzmart , 4 th Generation Family Member and President, Columbia Restaurant Click Here to Order Your Copy Today! |

Through Children’s Literacy, The Junior League of Tampa promotes literacy by sending trained volunteers into kindergarten classrooms at Hillsborough County Title I schools to conduct storytelling sessions and give each child 16 books per year to take home. For some of the children, these are the first of their very own. The project has also provided classrooms with multilingual literacy backpacks, teaching materials for centers, butterfly gardens, and additional books.
